Chateau Arnauld Haut Médoc
Chateau Arnauld is an exceptional wine from an exceptional terroir. Between Margaux and Moulis, this property is situated on one of the most select gravel outcrops on the edge of the Gironde river, a situation which has also made the reputation of its neighbours, Chateau Chasse Spleen and Chateau Poujeaux.
Very deep colour, still young, very dark ruby with crimson reflections. Roasted on the nose with slightly smoky notes of coffee, mocha. Some notes of black pepper, blackcurrant and blackberry. Remarkably full on the palate with a very well integrated tannic structure and great class. The finish is very long, mineral and with liquorice. Still has some very good years ahead of it.
